"I Feel Good All Over" is a 1987 single by Stephanie Mills. The single was her second number one on the Hot Black Singles chart and first number one in 1987. I had been searching frantically for this live concert footage I took back in 2012? @ Kinfolk Soul-food Music Festival in Cleveland, Ohio. I gave up looking when the clip seem to have vanished from all my digital files. To my surprise I didn't realize I backed it up on Google Drive so when I discovered the video clip I was overjoyed.
In 1988 singer Patti Labelle admitted that she had been a given chance at recording the song by the songwriters' Gabriel Hardeman and Annette Hardeman (who was a background singer for her at the time), but passed believing that it wasn't a "Patti" song. "When I heard Ms. Thing (Mills) sing it and everything was right, I said 'Patti' and slapped myself...I blew that one." Well Patti I'm here to say Stephanie stamped her DNA all over this song and I don't you can reinvent perfection.
I always gave this Song 5 Stars because, for one I love her voice, the lyrics and I fantasize of one day finding this kind of love, so I have to jealously recommend this song to those who are happily in love.
A BIG VOICE OUT OF SUCH A TINY BODY, an unbelievable voice like hers is rare in this day and age, not because singers don't have the talent, too many just lack the dedication to achieve vocal perfection. I wish we could appreciate talent and not the YouTube sensation of the month. She is by far in the top 10 greatest singers that ever lived. The control of her voice is flawless! Stephanie Mills will make you dance, cry, shout and Feel Good All Over!
